The area of The Costa Cálida  is a great location for family holidays. The Mediterranean Sea and The Mar Menor are some of the best areas in Spain for water sports, here you can canoe, sail, kite surf, wind surf, fish or just relax in the sun.

If you want a bit more fun then you can visit one of the go kart centres in the region or maybe a fishing trip out into the Mediterranean sea or venture into scuba diving from Cabo de Palos.

Costa Cálida has horse riding school where you can take a ride along the beach, 22 golf courses, hiking in the mountains, bike rides along the coast or over the hills, tennis centres, padel centres, trampolining and hot air ballooning.

Parque Marino - 5206

This ground floor apartment is located in the Parque Marino complex in Cabo de Palos. It has 2 bedrooms, bathroom and open plan kitchen and lounge/diner. It can sleep up to 5 people with a sofa bed in the lounge. There is a patio area from the lounge and steps down to a further area in which you can park a car. The complex has a communal pool and the apartment has beautiful views of mountains and the beach.

This spacious apartment is situated at the Cala Azul complex in the Cala Flores area of Cabo de Palos. The complex has an outdoor communal pool with a children's pool and is walking distance to the beach and the large outdoor Sunday market. Cabo de Palos has a great selection of supermarkets, bars and restaurants. It is also close to many activities like go karting track, horse riding, scuba diving, golf and all water sports.

Locations

La Manga Club is a purpose built golf and sports complex which first opened to the public in 1972. Since it opened, it has grown considerably in size offering a secure and private retreat in which to enjoy your holiday. It is located close to a handful of traditional Spanish villages such as Mar de Cristal, Playa Honda and Cabo de Palos.

La Manga del Mar Menor is a beautiful area which houses the Mar Menor (small sea). This is a very large salt water lagoon as the La Manga strip creates a separation between this and the Mediterranean sea. Lining one side of the Mar Menor are small villages which stretch from San Javier in the north to Cabo de Palos in the south.

The area is full of restaurants and bars for every taste from an Indian meal to a local fish dish. La Zenia is also the home of La Zenia Boulevard, the largest shopping centre in the Alicante region with 150 stores, restaurants and leisure facilities like bowling and trampolining. The area also has many bars where you can enjoy a drink on the terrace.

Los Alcázares is a typical Spanish beach town that is split into two areas: the old town in the south and the new town in the north. The town hall of Los Alcázares is one of the most active in the area and there always seems to be something going on like a fiesta, event or activity.

Los Nietos is a small village located on the Mar Menor. It is mostly undeveloped for tourism and the local fishermen still go out early in the morning to this day to catch fish to supply to local restaurants and markets. Although it remains largely unspoilt, there are still a few very nice restaurants and bars.

Mar de Cristal Resort is located on the shores of the Mar Menor on the entrance into La Manga strip and Cabo de Palos. The Resort has a long beach, a marina as well as a selection of bars and restaurants. There is also a tennis and padel club in the heart of the resort.

Los Urrutias is a small town located on the shore of the Mar Menor. The town has great all year round restaurants and in the summer months you will find fiestas with live music and a weekly market. The town of Los Alcázares is not far away where you have many bars and restaurants.

Orihuela Costa is the coastal area of Orihuela and is a huge area just south of Torrevieja which has several suburb areas including Cabo Roig, Campoamor, La Zenia, Playa Flamenca, Punta Prima, and Villamartin. In Orihuela Costa you will also discover 4 award winning Golf courses.

Pilar de la Horadada is a town in the Province of Alicante, this area covers the coastal resorts from Mil Palmeras in the north to El Mojon in the south. The total coat line is on the Mediterranean sea and has many blue flag beaches, parking and water sports.

Playa Honda is a village which is located close to the bottom of the Mar Menor. It is mostly flat making a great spot for walkers and cyclists. There is a long promenade on which you can walk along and take in the wonderful views across the water to La Manga strip.

Playa Paraiso is situated in the southern area of the Mar Menor. It benefits from the warm shallow waters of the Mar Menor (little sea) and is a great spot for beach holiday for families. The golden sand lines the sea and is great for walking on, you can walk for miles and stop at the various little huts serving cold drinks and snacks.

Puerto de Mazarrón is part of Mazarrón, the area is famous for its eroded rock formations, that have been carved and sculpted by wind and water. The beaches are great for all the family and for the naturists as well as the two beaches that are setup to accept dogs.

Roda Golf Resort is just one mile away from Mar Menor, a unique natural setting with calm, shallow waters, Roda Golf Resort sits in a region blessed with more than 157 miles of Mediterranean beaches and almost 300 days of sunshine a year, all with an average temperature of 21 degrees.

Roldan is a small Spanish village but has two great Golf Resorts just outside the village. La Torre Golf Resort and La Terrazas Golf Resort are two communities by Polaris World and both have 18 hole golf courses designed from Jack Nicklaus. La Torre is the larger resort with supermarket, bars, restaurants and other activities.

The beaches of the Mar Menor sea are just a 100m walk away where you can enjoy the sandy beach and warm waters of the Mar Menor. Santiago de la Ribera was a long promenade and a small high street with shops, bars and restaurants.

San Pedro del Pinatar is located on the Mar Menor in the region of Murcia and the main tourist area is Lo Pagan. The most famous attraction of San Pedro del Pinatar are the mud baths where people come to cover themselves in the mineral rich, therapeutic, clay-like mud before rinsing themselves clean in the warm waters of the Mar Menor.

Santiago de la Ribera is a coastal town located on the Murcian coast on the Mar Menor. It has a wide variety of bars, restaurants, cafes, ice cream parlours and pubs and has a great promenade that begins next to the General Air Academy and It ends after the City of Air. The Academia Genera del Aire is a great tourist attraction that holds open days several times a year for all interested visitors.

Sucina is a small Spanish town but has a couple of large golf complexes just outside of the town. Hacienda Riquelme Golf Resort is the largest with an 18 hole Jack Nicklaus Design championship golf course, driving range, tennis and padel courts. Other activities include petanque, outside gym equipment, sports court and children's play areas.

Santa Rosalia Lake and Life Resort is situated between Torre Pacheco and Los Alcazares on the Costa Calida in Murcia, known for its beautiful beaches and the two seas, The Mar Menor and the Mediterranean. This unique resort is a fantastic location for a holiday, surrounded by 4000 trees and plants and home to the famous beach and lake known as La Reserva.

El Carmoli is a small village located on the side of a mountain that was formed over 7 million years ago by a volcano. It is part of Los Urrutias and Punto Bravo. The village has a great all year round restaurant and in the summer months has a chill out bar with live music.
